Georgios Koukis
About Me
Georgios Koukis is a PhD candidate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) and a researcher at the ATHENA Research Center. His research interests focus on network and satellite communications for smart cities and IoT, as well as orchestration and automation of services in cloud and cloud/edge environments. He has conducted experimental evaluations and publications on container-based architectures, utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for development and scaling of microservices. He holds an M.Sc. degree from the Department of Production and Management Engineering and an M.Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (specialization in Microelectronics and Information Systems Technologies / Networks and Internet Systems).
